Once upon a time not too long ago there was a great american band called 'the grateful dead', who travelled and played and gathered thousands of people in a tribe called 'the deadheads'. Their music being a country psychedelic melange liberated and lifted spirits. Antwerp Deadheadz like to tribute this way of life. Hello sweet people, you who treasure the ever closing gates to the magic of eclectic and electric freedom : K-man and Beebisneeks and Pisteffo are travelling Europe and playing in your street and in your local bar . Back by popular demand, Kunstemaecker presents the return of Blindhorses. Come and immerse yourself into the mysterious world of BlindHorses, a quartet inspired by such artists as Calexico, Tom Waits, The Cramps, Nancy Sinatra and Morricone. Blind Horses bring stories of ghosts, revenge and heartbroken lovers, topped with a thick dark sauce, country, folk and haunting gothic blues. On July 5th, they are proud to present their new album at Kunstemaecker. If the stage name "Tiny Legs Tim" reminds you of the bluesmen of yesteryear, you're on the right track. Tiny Legs Tim (Tim De Graeve, 1978), from Heuvelland, Belgium, is well on the way of becoming thé blues artist of this moment. His music and lyrics are inspired by old Delta Blues, Bob Dylan and an almost fatal, but overcome illness. Raw blues, as it should be. Old guitars, stomp box, poignant lyrics and a weathered voice. After 'They Say Small Birds Do not Fly Too High' he recently published his second album "One Man Blues" which was well received.

Deze eerste whisky proeverij wordt van deskundige uitleg voorzien van niemand minder dan Patrick Weerbroeck van Ambrosius Koksijde, organisator van het whisky festival Spirits of the Sea. Er wordt voor de leken een introductie voorzien waarin op een boeiende en bondige manier wordt gepraat over dit schitterende levenswater. Vervolgens worden een vijftal whisky's gedegusteerd. Zowel beginners als gevorderden zullen gegarandeerd aan hun trekken komen op wat beloofd een zeer gezellige avond te worden. Slechts 30 personen kunnen zich inschrijven in Kunstemaecker.
